County Route 11 is a
county highway in Monmouth County,New Jersey .Route Description
CR 11 consists of four segments totalling 4.58 miles between West Long Branch and Red Bank.
Segment 1 consists of Oceanport Avenue beginning at Broadway (CR 537) in West Long Branch and extending across Monmouth Park Highway (Route 36) to Port au Peck Avenue in Oceanport, a distance of 1.14 mile. Segment 2 begins at Port au Peck Avenue 0.23 mile west of the northern terminus of Segment 1. (Port au Peck Avenue is not a part of CR 11.) It extends 2.28 miles along Oceanport and Branch Avenues to Rumson Road (CR 520) in Little Silver. History
CR 11 formerly extended north along Broad Street to Front Street.(CR 10). On January 16, 1998, the portion of CR 11 between Harding Road and Front Street was decommissioned by the
Board of Chosen Freeholders . By the same resolution, Branch Avenue in Red Bank between Harding Road and the Little Silver border was taken over as part of CR 11. [Resolution, Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, January 16, 1998.]References
