CSRWire Canada (CSRWire.ca) is a commercial news release service formalized in 2006 and owned by Environmental Communication Options. CSRWire.ca is Canada's largest corporate social responsibility (CSR) news source and only dedicated CSR wire service. CSRWire.ca distributes text and photo media releases on behalf of corporations (Banrock Station), municipal (The City of Hamilton, Ontario) and provincial government agencies (Ontario Power Authority) in Canada, non-profits (Friends of the Earth Canada) and associations. CSRWire.ca is significant for its policy of providing access to community papers and secondary media markets in Ontario and other Canadian provinces.

CSRWire Canada distributes press releases for media outlets (radio, web, television, and print) in a variety of formats such as photographs, podcasts and by fax in both French and English. CSRWire creates and publishes over 500 releases a year for such organizations as the Ontario Power Authority, Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance, and CIELAP.

Its major competitors in Canada include Marketwire, CNW Group and PR Newswire. CSRWire differentiates itself from the international players by maintaining a Canadian focus and publishing releases by Canadian organizations only.

CSRWire is accessible to the public for free via Google News and directly online through CSRwire.ca. CSRWire's releases are used regularly by newspapers, radio stations and television stations in North America and internationally (primarily Europe).
