Asaf Romirowsky is a scholar of Middle Eastern studies and a fellow at the Middle East Forum. Romirowsky, an Israeli, did his military service for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as an international relations liaison officer in the West Bank. He currently serves in the IDF reserves as an liaison officer to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Romirowsky is studying toward a PhD at King's College London.[1]

Romirowsky made headlines in late 2007 when his invitation to take part in an academic panel at the University of Delaware was rescinded by student organizers after another member of the panel, political science professor Muqtedar Khan, objected to sharing a podium with a former Israeli soldier who was once stationed in the West Bank.[2][3][4][5]
