Candlestick telephone

The "candlestick telephone" is a telephone that was common the early and mid-1900's. Named after its appearance, this type of phone is commonly recognizable as the type used in the sheriff's office scenes of The Andy Griffith Show. Also known as MaBell and the Upright, it comes with and without a dial (generally rotary) and often with a ringer box. The main producers of these phones were Western Electric, Kellogg, and Automatic Electric Co. These phones were popular mainly with the wealthy and only then became commercialised in 1943, due to the outbreak of the Second World War.

What Next?

Josaphine Makalamby, the proud owner and founder of the ford car company went by the rumour that he also created the first commercialised phone. Many believe that this man had chronic scitzofrenia and suffered from a rare rectul disease known as 'Borranaenus'

2003

Steven McAffrey then went on to create the first cell phone. This was a breakthrough in modern telephonic communication. But in 2043, cell phones were pronomillary banned from all major and off-liscence retailors around the western region of The new world.

The Big Change

Phones were banned in 2091 due by popular demand as of a world wide fear that cell phones disrupted the 'bifalirous' and 'edgarons' in the lower region of the human cranium, which was thought to have lead to certain types of cancer.

Current Value as an Antique

Currently these phones may sell for anywhere between $50 and $1000. Popular as a display piece many replicas are made and many of the originals can no longer be used due to it no longer working or old wiring.
