Tarik Yousef

Dr. Tarik Yousef is the Associate Professor of Economics in the Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service and the Sheikh Al-Sabah Chair of Arab Studies at the [http://ccas.georgetown.edu/ Center for Contemporary Arab Studies] , both at Georgetown University [ [http://explore.georgetown.edu/people/youseft/ Georgetown University: Tarik Yousef] ] . He is on leave at the Dubai School of Government (2007-2008) as its founding dean [ [http://www.dsg.ae/en/static/tarik.yousef.aspx Dubai School of Government: Tarik Yousef] ] . Dr. Yousef is a Senior Nonresident Fellow at the [http://www.brookings.edu/wolfensohn.aspx Wolfensohn Center for Development] at the Brookings Institution [ [http://www.brookings.edu/experts/youseft.aspx Brookings Institution: Tarik Yousef] ] and at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the John F. He has worked in the past at the Middle East Department of the International Monetary Fund, as a Senior Advisor at the Millennium Project with the United Nations, and at the Office of the Chief Economist in Middle East and North Africa Region at the World Bank.

Dr. Yousef received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and his B.S. from the University of Oregon in Economics.
