Canyon Springs houses the Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy, a college preparatory academy that made Canyon Springs the second school in the Clark County School District (aside from the
Advanced Technologies Academy ) to offer a four-year program inlegal studies . The campus includes a law library and a mock courtroom. Extracurricular activities
Canyon Springs is home to many academic and social clubs as well as a section of the
United States Air Force Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps , consisting of over 250 students. The Canyon Spring High School marching band played in London for theNew Year's Day Parade . Canyon Springs also has its own television station KCSL TV 6, which is produced by its own students and contains programs that discuss issues on campus.Athletics
The athletic teams at Canyon Springs are known as the Pioneers and compete in the Northeast Division of the
Sunrise 4A Region . Since the school's establishment in 2004, the Pioneers have become a strong presence in Las Vegas high school football and boys' basketball. In 2007, the Pioneers football team surprised many by claiming the Northeast Division championship from perennial powerhouse and league champion, Las Vegas. The Pioneers also claimed division titles in boys' tennis and boys' basketball, which was Canyon Springs second-straight division title in basketball.Sunrise 4A Region Northeast Division Titles
