The Taipei Metro Daan Station (or Da-an Station) is a station on the Wenshan Line located in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan.^[2] When the Xinyi Line is completed in 2012, the station will become a transfer station between the two lines.^[3]

This elevated Wenshan Line station has two side platforms and two exits. It is located at the intersection of Fuxing South Rd. and Xinyi Rd. Three more exits are under construction in preparation for the opening of the Xinyi Line.

The Xinyi Line station will be a two-level, underground station with an island platform.^[4]

Construction

The Xinyi Line station will be 347 m (1,138 ft) long and 25 m (82 ft) wide. Excavation depth will be at 25 m (82 ft). It will also have a 319 m (1,047 ft) pocket track, four entrances, two accessibility elevators, and three vent shafts.^[4] One of the entrances and one of the vent shafts will be integrated into a new joint development building. Another entrance and vent shaft will be integrated into the existing joint development building on the Wenshan Line.

Public Art

The Xinyi Line station will have a theme of "The meeting of light and shadow - a dialogue between ground level and underground". A combination of a horizontal passage which will link the space and special illumination and lighting design on the escalators will strengthen the directionality of the passage space.^[4]
