George William received the
courtesy title "Earl of Armagh" as theheir apparent to the Dukedom of Cumberland and Teviotdale in thePeerage of Great Britain . He served as Captain of the 42nd Regiment of Austria duringWorld War I . The prince died in a motor accident on 20 May 1912 at age 31 at Nackel, Brandenburg, Germany.
