Tom Francis Patrick McCarthy (born September 15, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played 4 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins. He married Marlene Weaver during his life and became the father of two daughters and one son named Martin who fathered one of two grandsons. He died in 1992 from a heart attack six months before the birth of his first grandson.
