Pro career
In his professional career, Nielsen has played with the Sydney Kings, PAOK, Lietuvos Rytas, and Valencia. He was named the Eurocup Finals MVP in 2010.[1] In July 2010, Nielsen signed a two-year €1.8 million euros net income contract with Olympiacos Piraeus.[2] In August 2011 he signed a two-year contract with BC Khimki in Russia.[3]

Olympic medal record Competitor for Australia FIBA Oceania Championship Gold 2003 Australia National Team Gold 2005 New Zealand National Team Nielsen won the gold medal at the 1997 FIBA Under-21 World Championship with Australia's junior national team. He has also been a member of the senior men's Australian national basketball team. With Australia's senior national team, he won gold medals at the 2001 Goodwill Games, the 2003 FIBA Oceanian Championship, and the 2005 FIBA Oceanian Championship.
