next_route=168Kentucky Route 167 is a two-lane state highway located entirely within Wayne County, Kentucky in south-central Kentucky. It originates in Monticello, branching off KY Business 90, about a half-mile south of the town square, court house and Doughboy statue.
Route Description
KY 167, a rural secondary highway as classified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, runs for almost exactly 20 miles from Monticello to the Kentucky/Tennessee border, where, upon entering Tennessee, the road is known as Tennessee Route 154. The terrain is mountainous, and the two-lane road is unpaved in spots, and travelers are cautioned to take their time and to remain alert while driving it: the 20-mile route takes approximately one hour to drive because of these factors.
Unincorporated communities along the route include Number One, Wray Gap, Cooper, Sumpter and Mount Pisgah.
