The Boone County Courthouse is the location of the 13th circuit court of Missouri covering Boone and Callawaycounties. The courthouse is located in the Boone County Government Complex in downtown Columbia, Missouri. [ [http://www.courts.mo.gov/page.asp?id=321 Circuit Courts ] ] It is the third court at this location. The first of which housed a studio of George Caleb Bingham and is the subject of the painting 1855 painting "Verdict of the People.
