Strathmore-Vanderbilt Country Club

Strathmore-Vanderbilt Country Club is an equity (member-owned) country club located in Manhasset, New York. Incorporated in the 1930s, the club's original membership roster numbered about 200 members and their households. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and sought-after houses, the clubhouse is the centerpiece of the Strathmore-Vanderbilt community social life. The building itself, meticulously maintained, is a replica of Le Petit Trianon, a French chateau, and is a landmark on the North Shore of Long Island. It was once owned by ice cream mogul Louis Sherry, and was later owned by Consuelo Vanderbilt. A photograph of the structure can be seen at http://www.strathmorevanderbiltcc.com/
