Bobino is a
Quebec French language children's television show made inQuebec and broadcast on Radio Canada, theFrench language television service of theCanadian Broadcasting Corporation , between1957 and1985 . Its stories revolved around Bobino (a kind gentleman hobo played by Guy Sanche) and his sister Bobinette (a puppet voiced byPaule Bayard and later byChristine Lamer ). Many other characters were mentioned but never appeared although their presence was identified by certain cues, a partial list follows:* Général Garde-à-vous: nonsensical yelling
* Gustave (Floor director): bicycle horn
* Tapageur (Sound effect engineer): different sounds
* Camério (the cameraman): the entire image would go up and down for yes and sideways for no.
* Télécino (the film projector operator): was invoked to start a cartoon.Typical plots for the show usually consisted in Bobinette coming up with pranks to play on her brother, often involving costumes and "flour firecrackers", though Bobino would often come up with a costume of his own and get the last laugh.
