EUROMICRO

EUROMICRO

EUROMICRO is an international scientific, engineering and educational organization dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences and applications of information technology and microelectronics. EUROMICRO is a non-profit organization.

It was founded in 1973 by Rodnay Zaks and co-founded by Reiner Hartenstein and a few other colleagues in response to, and inspired by, the emerging microprocessor technology (workstations, PCs etc. that were to be networked soon). Since that time, EUROMICRO has been devoted to promoting, discussing, disseminating knowledge, information and skills, in academia, industry, government and in education. A major focus is to organize conferences and workshops in computer science and computer engineering, covering topics such as real-time systems, parallel and distributed processing, multimedia, robotics, telecommunication, software engineering, computer architecture and hardware design.

It publishes the Journal of Systems Architecture (JSA), through North Holland (Elsevier). Conference and workshop proceedings are published through IEEE Computer Press.
