Outhouse (unit)

Outhouse (unit)

An "outhouse" is a non-SI unit of area or cross-section used in nuclear physics.

One outhouse is defined as being equal to 10-6 barn; it is a "microbarn."

An outhouse is smaller than a barn but much larger than a shed.

1 outhouse = 10−6 barn = 1018 sheds = 10−34 square metres (m²) = 10−4 square femtometres (fm²) = 10−30 square centimetres (cm²)
