State Route 290 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Washington, running from Interstate 90 in Spokane to ID-53 on the Idaho border.

R 290 Spur
SR 290 formerly had a spur route called State Route 290 Spur. It ran from Interstate 90's Exit 282A to SR 290. It was added in 1977 and was only 0.67 miles long. The interchange between Interstate 90 and SR 290 Spur was planned to be the interchange in which Spokane's proposed North-South Freeway. The proposal has been moved 1.5 miles east to destroy less houses and instead destroy not-needed abandoned railroad tracks in Hillsyard. With the removal of SR 290 west of the spur from the state highway system, SR 290 Spur is now part of SR 290.
