6789 Milkey is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 1305.8150228 days (3.58 years).[1]
The asteroid was discovered on September 4, 1991, by Eleanor F. Helin and received the provisional designation (6789) 1991 RM6 (previous apparitions were 1982 BC13 and 1989 AT9). It was named on June 13, 2006, after Robert Milkey, American executive officer of the American Astronomical Society, 1995–2006.
