chool symbols
chool Motto
The school motto is "Scientiae Patriaeque Gratia", which means 'for the sake of learning and for the state'. In the school, whatever is undertaken or promoted must seek to develop within students the desire for life-long learning and to improve through learning. This sense of personal fulfilment reaches its ultimate meaning and purpose in the service of the nation.
chool Crest
The crest is headed by five stars, which symbolises Equality, Peace, Progress, Justice, and Democracy. These are the ideals on which a brotherhood of persons can be built. Below, there is the torch of learning which signifies the light of knowledge and the love for learning. Encompassing it are five rings symbolising sports and the part they play to link persons together. The five horizontal bands denote the five houses as rivals in competition but steadfast in fraternity.
chool Flag
The flag is composed of two parallel bands; turqoise and white in colour. In the middle of the flag is the school crest. The flag is an emblem which encompasses the hopes and aspirations of the whole school. The colours of the flag, turqoise and white, are therefore, the school colours. They are distinctive marks which distinguish this school from others. On the sports field especially, the school colours are worn by our school teams as they engage in friendly rivalry with other teams.
chool Anthem
The school anthem is entitled "Blaze a Path of Glory" and was written by the second principal, Rudy W. Mosbergen. It was revised and harmonised by Derek Cable.
