Mahabharat Created by Kaleidoscope Entertainment Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi Country of origin India Broadcast Original channel 9X Original airing 2008 Mahabharat is an Indian television series - based on the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata - produced by Bobby Bedi's Kaleidoscope Entertainment.[1] It was scheduled to begin airing on 9X in 2008.[2]
In April 2008, the series' director Chandraprakash Dwivedi quit the project citing pressure brought on as a result of competition from Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki.[3]
