Zachary Bogan

Zachary Bogan (1625–1659) [ [http://www.oxforddnb.com/index/101002763/ Oxford Biography Index entry] ] is from Littlehempston, Devonshire and was described as a learned divine, who published "Treatises on the Idioms of Homer and Hesiod, as compared with the Language of Scripture", and some devotional tracts. [ [http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=50579 "Parishes: Haccombe - Hittesleigh", "Magna Britannia: volume 6: Devonshire" (1822), pp. 250-272] ] He collaborated with Francis Rous on the work "Archaeologiae Atticae Libri Septem" (Seven books of the Attick Antiquities) in 1649.
