John Richard Kennard

John Richard Kennard (born 1953) is a noted educationalist and Principal of St. Paul's College, Hong Kong [ [http://www.spc.edu.hk] St. Paul's College Prospectus] . Part of the Central and Western District of Hong Kong [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_secondary_schools_in_Hong_Kong#Central_and_Western_District] , St. Paul's College is located adjacent to the main campus of the University of Hong Kong. Founded in 1851 by the Anglican Diocese of Victoria, St. Paul's College is one the world's earliest Anglo-Chinese schools. Born in Surrey, England, Kennard received his secondary education at Harvey Grammar School, Folkestone, Kent and King Edward VII Grammar School in King's Lynn, Norfolk. He was awarded a Kinglsey Fairbridge Society scholarship to pursue university studies at the University of Western Australia in 1972. Prior to arriving in Hong Kong, Kennard's previous schools were: St. Andrew's Grammar School, Perth, Australia (2002-2005), John Wollaston Anglican School, Perth, Australia (1997-2001), Wesley College, Perth, Australia (1977-1980, 1983-1996), The Leys School, Cambridge, England (1981-1982) and Hale School, Perth, Australia (1977).

Kennard is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (ACE) (2002) and served on its National Council as Honorary Treasurer for many years. He is a Trustee of the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC) (2007-2008) and represents the interests of boys' schools in the Far East.
