Darren Costin Also known as Darwin Born 1966 Genres New Wave, Rock Occupations Drummer Instruments drums Years active 1979-present Labels RCA, Arista, Geffen Associated acts Wang Chung, Heroes Website MySpace account Darren Costin (born 1966) is the former drummer for the band Wang Chung.[1] Costin first appeared on the group's debut album, Huang Chung. When drumming, Costin used a Simmons electronic drums. Costin then left the band in 1985 after Wang Chung's summer tour, in order to pursue a solo career.
Costin founded the band Heroes, as the lead singer/writer. recorded the album Here We Are with them, under RCA Records in 1987. After playing music professionally, Costin still played an active role in music by engineering,producing and playing on several albums among the likes of U2, Frank Sinatra and Björk. In 2009 he has been responsible for producing and writing for the band "DAVE". Their debut album "A DAVE in the life". He has also mastered two Eden project concerts for the Raconteurs and the Kaiser Chiefs for MTV, as well as completing the sound design for Lutz Becker's "The Fururist".
