"Praying to a New God" is a single by Wang Chung. Released in April 1989, the song was a minor hit and peaked at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 27, 1989. However, the album's lone single did little to significantly impress critics, and was the band's last attempt to stay active on any Billboard chart. Wang Chung broke up two years later.
