The band currently has 16 pipers, 6 sides, 3 tenors and a bass drummer. The Organisation also sports a competitive Grade 4 band, a Juvenile Band, and members from the band tutor the John McGlashan College Pipe Band, 2 time New Zealand Juvenile Champions, and the 2005 South Pacific Juvenile Pipe Band Champions

The Band has won the Grade 2 New Zealand Championships 3 times in the last 8 years - 2003, 2007 and again in 2008. The Band was promoted for its success to Grade 1.[1] It intended to play in Grade 2 at the 2008 World Pipe Band Championships, however because of the regrading, could not do so.
