Peter S. Kalikow (born

Kalikow] , having been appointed by New York Governor and fellow RepublicanGeorge Pataki in 2001. Kalikow was reappointed in 2006 to serve a second term.Prior to his current career, he started working in
real estate in 1967. He went on to become the president of one of New York City's leading real estate firms, H.J. Kalikow & Company, in 1973. He was the third generation of a 75 year-old family firm.Kalikow had a short stint as the owner of the
