As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 247 people, 115 households, and 64 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 29.3 people per square mile (11.3/km²). There were 142 housing units at an average density of 16.9/sq mi (6.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.76% White, 0.40% Asian, 1.21% from other races, and 1.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.88% of the population.There were 115 households out of which 21.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.1% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 44.3% were non-families. 39.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.15 and the average family size was 2.88.
In the town the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 90.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.1 males.

*The town is the site of a historic steel truss bridge which spans the Virgin River. The bridge was built in 1924 and is one of the last surviving examples of a rigid Parker throughtruss bridge in the state of Utah.References
