John E. Dimon (
May 14 ,1916 –September 19 ,1993 ) was an American Republican Partypolitician who served in theNew Jersey Senate and as Chairman of theNew Jersey Republican State Committee .Dimon was born in 1916 in
Florence-Roebling, New Jersey . He enlisted in theUnited States Army in 1940 and served during the duration of American involvement inWorld War II . After the war, he worked as a lawyer, serving as Special Assistant Attorney General.
