Guerra (literally "war," in Spanish) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jim Hogg County, Texas, United States. The population was eight at the 2000 census.

Geography

Guerra is located at coor dms|26|52|57|N|98|53|40|W|city (26.882615, -98.894466)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.9 square miles (15.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 8 people, 4 households, and 2 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1.4 people per square mile (0.5/km²). There were 12 housing units at an average density of 2.0/sq mi (0.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White, and therefore 0.00% from other races or from two or more races. 75.00% of the population were Hispanic or Latino (of white race.)

There were 4 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were married couples living together, and 50.0% were non-families. 50.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. Education

Guerra, as with all of Jim Hogg County, is served by the Jim Hogg County Independent School District.

The district has three schools: Hebbronville Elementary School, Hebbronville Junior High School, and Hebbronville High School. All of the schools are considered to be in the Hebbronville community.
