His usual position is at centre and he can also play in the wing, as he did in his side's 2009 NRL Grand Final win. Nielsen has also previously played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
Nielsen was sent-off for a high tackle in Round 15 clash with the West Tigers.
He played in the 2009 NRL Grand Final against Parramatta.[1]
Nielsen was named as injured Greg Inglis' replacement at centre in the Queensland side for Game I of the 2011 State of Origin series.
