Willunga railway line, Adelaide
- Willunga railway line, Adelaide
The Willunga railway line is a former railway which ran through the southern Adelaide suburbs [Australian Railway Historical Society Bulletin, October, 1965 pp181-192] . The line started at Hallett Cove and ended at Willunga. The track was more than 45km, longer than the current Gawler line (which is 42.2km). The line reached Willunga in 1918, and featured 16 stations. The line was closed in 1969 and dismantled in 1972. There is no evidence of the track left, but the corridor still remains as the 34km long Coast to Vines rail trail.
