The main township of Willunga is located on Main & Aldinga Road. Willunga has a variety of local business (approx 80)including the renowned Willunga Bakery, a takeaway, Slate Hill Cafe, Christina's on High Street Cafe, a fuel station, Off the Slate Art Gallery, Minko Wines Cellar Door Providore, a library, quality tourist shops (The Green Room, The Spock Sisters, Tall Poppies, Willunga Antiques)a post office, two butchers (Hamlets & the Willunga Butcher), Singing Cricket food co-op, Russel's rustic pizza restaurant, two banks (ANZ & SA Bank), Doctors, Dentist, Chiropractor, Physio-therapist and Massuers. Willunga also boasts three pubs Alma (known to locals as the bottom pub), Willunga Hotel (known as the middle pub) and the Old Bush Inn(known as the top pub)), a hardware store, auto repair shops and three schools (Willunga Waldorf & Willunga High & Primary)and a kindergarten. Willunga Golf Course is also one of the South Australia's best and has a restaurant open to the the public. On the same property is the Willunga Bowling Club and the popular Waverley Homestead, home of STARS a well known community Arts organisation.
Most of Willunga's large events are held on the Willunga Recreation Park located near the town square. When large events are in town, most of the roads are closed off and entry to the town is restricted. A park known as the Rose Garden is located about 5 minutes walk from the town square, and provides
barbecue facilities, a playground, a large pond, permanent chairs and table as well as a large rose garden planted and maintained by the local government, shaped like a maze.Willunga hosts a leg of the Tour Down Under cycle race every summer. Another attraction is the rapidly growing Willunga Farmer's Market held every Saturday morning, and the Willunga Quarry market held once fortnightly.

Sports
Willunga has many sporting teams. Their football team (the Demons) has won three premierships in a row, and in the year of 2006 lost only 2 matches. Willunga also has a football team for students. Willunga has a netball team, a basketball team and a cricket team. Also, the township has a Willunga Soccer Club, in the NDJSA league. The senior primary team won their division in 2007 and made it to the Cup Semi-Finals.
