Wakarusa River was the site of Blue Jacket’s Crossing, a crossing point for theOregon Trail . A park at 12th & Cedar in Eudora memorializes Blue Jacket.
*Southwest of Eudora, along Winchester Road, is the Beni-Israel Cemetery. A cemetery given to the Jewish community in 1859. Many of the headstones haveHebrew characters on them.References
