Simona Ventura

Simona Ventura (born on April 1, 1965 in Bologna) is a hostess on Italian television.

The Beginnings

She started in TV in "Domani Sposi with Giancarlo Magalli on Rai Uno;her love for the sport took her in sports reporting : for the italian Télé Monte Carlo she was correspondent during the World Cup in 1990, during the European Championship in 1992 and during the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

In the RAI TVs she was with Pippo Baudo in the Sunday-afternoon program "Domenica In" (1991) and next, in 1992, in the sport show "Domenica Sportiva".She also been in the show "Pavarotti International".

Years in Mediaset

Her career continues in Mediaset channels hosting variety shows like "Mai dire goal", "Cuori e Denari, "Boom", " Scherzi a parte" (the italian version of Punk'd), "Festivalbar", "Le Iene", "Matricole", Gli indelebili '99, "Cari amici miei", "Zelig - Noi facciamo cabaret", "Piccole Canaglie".(She spent eight years in Mediaset).

In 1996 she hosted on RAI the newcomers' section of Sanremo Music Festival.

Years in RAI

In 2001 Simona returned on Rai Due to host "Quelli che il calcio" and a prime time show called "Quelli che lo smoking"; in 2002 Pippo Baudo choose her for the "Dopofestival" ( a variety show about the Sanremo Music Festival) and, next a satirical program with Gene Gnocchi called "La grande notte del lunedi sera", she hosted the italian version of Celebrity Survivor "L'Isola Dei Famosi" (from 2003 to present).

In 2004 hosted Sanremo Music Festival on Rai Uno.

The next year Simona hosted the second season of the reality "MusicFarm" and the third ediction in 2006.She had also the prime time access rule on Rai Uno with "Le Tre Scimmiette" and in 2007 had the prime time with "Colpo di Genio".

The hosting of "Quelli che il calcio" is continuing.

In 2008 Simona was a judge in the italian X-Factor.

In 1996 Simona was the italian voice of Lola Bunny in Space Jam

She acted in the movie "Fratelli Coltelli" in 1997

In 2008 Simona is the protgonist in "La fidanzata di papà" with Massimo Boldi and Elisabetta Canalis

She won 4 "Telegatti" like Best Female Figure of the Year
