census GR|2 of 2000, there were 373 people, 177 households, and 109 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 372.5 people per square mile (144.0/km²). There were 227 housing units at an average density of 226.7/sq mi (87.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.73% White and one Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race are scarce.There were 177 households out of which 24.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.5% were married couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.4% were non-families. 38.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.1105 and the average family size was 2.7856.
In the town the population was spread out with 22.3% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 20.6% from 25 to 44, 26.3% from 45 to 64, and 24.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
