Fruitdale is a town in Butte County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 62 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Fruitdale is located at coor dms|44|40|5|N|103|41|47|W|city (44.668168, -103.696389)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 62 people, 23 households, and 18 families residing in the town. The population density was 195.2 people per square mile (74.8/km²). There were 29 housing units at an average density of 91.3/sq mi (35.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.55% White, and 6.45% from two or more races.
