Yale is a town in Beadle County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 118 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Yale is located at coor dms|44|26|0|N|97|59|22|W|city (44.433414, -97.989416)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 118 people, 47 households, and 33 families residing in the town. The population density was 749.8 people per square mile (284.8/km²). There were 55 housing units at an average density of 349.5/sq mi (132.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 47 households out of which 36.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.0% were married couples living together, and 27.7% were non-families. 25.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.00.
