Career
Karting
Pic had a successful career in karting, winning minor championships and individual races and coming close to winning the European Championship ICA Junior.
Formula Renault
Pic raced in Formula Renault Campus in France in 2006, where he finished third. Pic raced in the Championnat de France Formula Renault 2.0 and the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2007, and he finished fourth in the French series and third in the championship.
Formula Renault 3.5 Series
He was signed to drive for Formula Renault 3.5 Series team Tech 1 Racing in early 2008.[1] He was partnered by Julien Jousse, and finished sixth in the championship with two wins at Circuit de Monaco — dominating the whole weekend, with pole position and fastest lap — and at Le Mans. He continued in the series in 2009 with Tech 1, starting in embarrassing fashion, when he spun off on the parade lap in Barcelona. He recovered from a slow start to the season, by winning two races at Silverstone and the Nürburgring, and finished third in the championship.
GP2 Series
Pic raced for Arden International in the 2009–10 GP2 Asia Series season, and continued with the team into the 2010 GP2 Series season.[2] Pic claimed his first victory for the team, winning the sprint race of the first Bahrain round. He also won the first race of the main 2010 season at the Circuit de Catalunya.[3] He finished tenth in the drivers' standings.
For 2011, Pic moved to the Barwa Addax team, alongside Giedo van der Garde. He failed to score any points in the Asia series, but scored his second main series win at Catalunya, leading home Van der Garde for an Addax one-two finish. He scored his second victory of the season in the Monaco sprint race, a result which moved him up to third place in the drivers' championship. He then took pole position for the round at Valencia, the two points briefly moving him into the championship lead, but he retired from both races, dropping back in the standings as a result. He eventually finished fourth in the championship, three points ahead of Van der Garde.
