Komuna Belgrade

Komuna (full legal name: "Komuna-International mešovito preduzeće za unutrašnju i spoljnu trgovinu d.o.o. Beograd") is a Serbian record label and media production house. Established in 1985, its headquarters are in Belgrade, Serbia with a branch office Budva, Montenegro. Registered in the Belgrade municipality of Rakovica, the company is owned by Maksa Ćatović. The main scope of Komuna involves audiovisual productions: films, TV programs, commercials, documentaries, TV reports, live transmissions and music videos. At the time of its establishment, Komuna was one of the first private companies in former Yugoslavia. Komuna delivers full support and assistance to foreign production companies interested in shooting in former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria.

Komuna was invloved in production of some of the best known Serbian movies like "Underground" and "Black Cat, White Cat" directed by Emir Kusturica.

From the very beginning Komuna has provided a wide range of services to the National Television (RTS). With RTS, Komuna produced popular TV series, among them "Porodicno blago" (62 episodes), "Stizu dolari" (52), "Svastara Duska Radovica" (13), "Lisice" (18) and "Neki novi klinci" (15).

The most important activity during the last years in Komuna is film and TV production. KOMUNA was the co-producer of Underground, a film by Emir Kusturica, the Cannes winner in 1995. Komuna also produced films such as "Savior" by Predrag Antonijevic, "Lajanje na zvezde" by Zdravko Sotra, "Black Cat, White Cat" by Emir Kusturica, "Tajna porodičnog blaga" by Aleksandar Djordjevic, "Normalni ljudi" by Oleg Novković, "Sivi kamion crvene boje" by Srđan Koljević as well as a short film by Milos Radovic "Moja domovina" that won awards at 35 international festivals. In realization of these films KOMUNA co-operated with production companies from the United States (Savior), as well as companies from Germany and France Underground, Black Cat, White Cat, Normalni ljudi and Sivi kamion crvene boje.
