Phil Haines

Philip E. Haines (born December 31, 1950) is an American Republican politician, who has served in the New Jersey Senate since January 8, 2008, where he represents the 8th legislative district.

Haines served on the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1997-1999 and has been the Burlington County Clerk since 2000. He served on the New Jersey Council on Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs from 1999-2004. Haines served in the United States Army from 1970-76, as an E-4.

Haines received a B.A. from La Salle University majoring in History / Political Science, and was awarded a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Newark. He is an attorney with the firm of Caplan Haines. He is a resident of the Juliustown section of Springfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.

District 8

Each of the forty districts in the New Jersey Legislature has one representative in the New Jersey Senate and two members in the New Jersey General Assembly. The other representatives from the 8th Legislative District for the 2008-2009 Legislative Session are:
