People's Education Society Institute of Technology (PESIT) is an engineering college in Karnataka, India. It was granted academic autonomy in August 2007.

Infrastructure and Campus Information

PESIT is located in Bangalore. The campus is located 10 km from the City Railway Station, on 100 feet Ring Road, Banashankari 3rd Stage and can be approached via Mysore Road. The college consists of five major blocks :

*The A - Block: This is the Administrative Building, also called as Prof M.R.D Silver Jubilee Complex, named after the Chairman of the PES group Dr M.R. Doreswamy. The building amongst other things, boasts of a large Central Library with a vast book reserve, offices of the Director, Chairman, Principal and Registrar. It also has the Department of Science and Humanities which handles the Lauda of First Year students for BE courses.

*The C - Block: This block houses the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It also has the offices of the Cultural Department, the AutoClub and the Team HAYA which is the PES Formula Team. It also houses the GM PACE center and the chemistry laboratory.

*The D - Block: This block is dedicated to the Electronics, Electrical and Telecommunication Subjects. It has the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering.

*The E - Block: The E Block or the TechPark is the most advanced and technologically advanced building at the PESIT campus as of now. It houses the offices of the Dean of Academics and Evaluation and has many other UG and PG departments.

*The F - Block: The F Block is still under construction. However it has the Department of Information Science and Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The College has a well designed auditorium in the A Block with 1800+ seating capacity equipped with modern display and surround sound systems. The college has indoor facilities for Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis and many other games. A match standard cricket ground is situated right next to the Tech Park. Other facilities include a volleyball court, football ground and a Basket Ball Court. The college is also equipped with a Gym with modern equipment and facilities which offers its services to the students of PES institutions at concessional rates. However, the Gym lacks a proper trainer.

PESIT is well known for nurturing cultural groups that continued to thrive beyond their college days, such as Phenom, a rock band known both for their original music as well as for being the first Indian group to release their material under a Creative Commons license.
