Hurricane Claudette

The name Claudette has been used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.

*1979's Tropical Storm Claudette - struck Puerto Rico, killing one, later made landfall near Port Arthur, Texas, killing one, inundating Alvin, Texas with convert|45|in|mm of rain, and causing $400 million in damages, very expensive for a tropical storm.
*1985's Hurricane Claudette - long-lived weak hurricane that wandered east, grazed Azores, no damage or casualties.
*1991's Hurricane Claudette - strong storm that reached Category 4, no damage or casualties.
*1997's Tropical Storm Claudette - wandered northeast in the Atlantic, threatened no land.
*2003's Hurricane Claudette - hit Puerto Morelos, Mexico, exited back into the Gulf of Mexico, struck again near Port O'Connor, Texas. Killed one person and caused $180 million damage in the U.S., no significant damage in Mexico.
