History
Incorporated April 19, 1864, the bank opened for business on June 1 of that year, in the basement of the First National Bank building.[2][3] In 1908, the Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh took possession of the now-historic building, near the base of the Williamsburg Bridge, at the corner of Havemeyer Street and South Fifth Street which serves as its headquarters.
