ISSN = 0095-0696The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) is a
peer-review ed journal ofenvironmental economics published six times per year. It is the official technical journal of theAssociation of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE) .JEEM is devoted to the publication of theoretical and empirical papers concerned with the linkage between economic systems and environmental and natural resources systems. Generally regarded as the top journal in natural resources and environmental economics, it concentrates on the management and/or social control of the economy in its relationship with the management and use of natural resources and the natural environment. [cite web |url=http://www.env-econ.net/2008/01/top-journals-in.html |title=www.env-econ.net ] Providing worldwide coverage of the field, JEEM includes articles by economists as well as interdisciplinary papers by researchers in other fields of interest to resource and environmental economists.
JEEM is differentiated from the Association's other official journal, the
Review of Environmental Economics and Policy (REEP), in that JEEM has a more technical orientation. REEP is targeted more towards the environmental policy-making audience. The current editor of JEEM is Charles F. Mason of the Department of Economics and Finance at the
University of Wyoming . He oversees the work of eight co-editors in different sub-areas of the field of environmental economics who bear primary responsibility for the selection of papers. The previous editor was Joseph Herriges. The journal can be accessed online via
