input = Keyboard & Mouse"Tong" is a hybrid puzzle game that features a mix of games inspired by "
Tetris " and "Pong ", designed and developed by Owen Swerkstrom. It is released under theGNU General Public License .In the game, the player simultaneously controls falling Tetris pieces and Pong paddles on each side in order to line up pieces and keep a ball from going off the edge of the play area. The tetrads and ball interact in multiple ways. For example, if a paddle misses a ball, a row of tetrads are added like multiplayer Tetris. More importantly, random rules are given that determine what will happen when the ball hits a falling tetrad or the stack of tetrads, with consequences such as the falling tetrad rotating, moving, joining, being ignored, dropping, being removed, or breaking; the stack breaking a line, joining, being ignored, being removed, or breaking; and the ball bouncing, being removed, being ignored, or joining. All of the game graphics were created by Owen Swerkstrom and music was written by Jared Burke.
The newest version of "Tong" is 1.0. It features a timed mode and a continuous marathon mode and many different difficulty and rule options. "Tong" is released under the
GNU General Public License and currently thesource code and binaries forLinux , Windows, andDreamcast binary packages are available. "Tong" is built on theSimple DirectMedia Layer game libraries and ports to otheroperating system s are welcomed.External links
