In 2006 and 2001, Sadhu Tudu of
CPI(M) won the Gazole assembly seat, reserved for scheduled tribes, defeating his nearest rivals Jatin Hansda of INC Nabakumar Hembrom of AITC respectively. In 1996 and 1991, Debnath Murmu of CPI(M) defeated Benjamin Hembram of INC and Nabakumar hembram of INC respectively. Sufal Murmu of CPI(M) defeated Naba Kumar Hembram of INC in 1987, Benjamin Hembram of INC in 1982, and Shyam Murmu of Janata Party in 1977.
