The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) is one of Massachusetts' regional transit authorities. It is a public, non-profit organization in Massachusetts, charged with providing public transportation to an area consisting of the cities of Fitchburg, Leominster and Gardner, and the adjoining towns of Ashburnham, Ashby, Ayer, Hardwick, Harvard, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Royalston, Shirley, Sterling, Templeton, Westminster and Winchendon.[5]

MART operates fixed-route bus services, shuttle services, together with paratransit services. It also provides connections to the MBTA Commuter Rail line at Fitchburg station.[6] MART runs the parking facilities at Fitchburg and North Leominster station, and has partnered with the MBTA in the planning for the proposed Wachusett station[7].

A new addition to transportation is the collaboration between Fitchburg State University and MART. Faculty, staff and students can ride any of the bus routes in Fitchburg or Leominster free of charge.[8]
