Forgan is a town in Beaver County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 532 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Forgan is located at coor dms|36|54|27|N|100|32|21|W|city (36.907505, -100.539253)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 532 people, 197 households, and 143 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,420.2 people per square mile (555.2/km²). There were 242 housing units at an average density of 646.0/sq mi (252.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 89.47% White, 0.19% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 6.77% from other races, and 3.20% from two or more races. There were 197 households out of which 37.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.9% were married couples living together, 12.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.4% were non-families. 25.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
