The Patriot Press, Northern's nationally award winning student newsmagazine. The Physics and Engineering Team, First Place Champions in The Central Maryland Physics Olympics and The University of Maryland Physics Olympics.

Athletics

The Northern Patriots are a member of the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC). The mascot for the school is "Patriot Pete".
