When the plant in nearby Hannibal was closed down in 2006, another blow was dealt to local employees. That facility reopened by the end of the year, although it no longer employs as large a staff as had once worked there prior to the closure.cite web |url=http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=6128.new |title=Ornet Layoffs & Strike |publisher=Associated Press |accessdate=2007-12-17]
